Key to naming new technology: Star Wars

Dean Kamen, inventor of the Segway, has been working hard on a new project: The Luke arm. Named for Luke Skywalker’s prosthetic arm (he got it at the end of “The Empire Strikes Back”, remember?), the new technology is really amazing. Don’t take my word for it, just watch the video! This is interesting because it shows how we are getting closer and closer to being further and further from being human. I don’t really think that it is beyond the realm of possibility that in the future people will use technology such as this type to enhance their body, rather than repair it. Sound bizarre? Just wait and see :P .

Firefox 3 goes on a diet, eats less memory than IE and Opera
